Today I will run for the SAN Hospital Cancer Centre. For those of you on the Northern Beaches this is our closest, newest and best Cancer clinic. When it opened 12 months ago Darren was literally one of the first patients to be treated there so I couldn't pass up this opportunity to help raise funds for the team of Doctors and Nurses that have been caring for him. He has had the benefit of the best and newest technologies but a year later we are back to square one with another 6 week round of daily radiation and chemo topped off with a risky/scary/powerful clinical trial that we are praying will knock it for six once and for all. What they do at the San Cancer Clinic is absolutely incredible and we can't thank them enough, not only for their dedication but also their kindness. They really are a special breed!

 

There is absolutely no pressure at all and I wanted to respect Daz's privacy but I think making a contribution back to the Centre and helping them raise more funds for research is by far most important.
